Gain skills in theatre production—including script writing, set design and directing. You'll also delve into the areas of dramaturgy, acting, stage management, design, publicity and devising.

With support from experienced lecturers and using a fully equipped theatre, Studio 77, you'll discover what it takes to put on a production—from the kernel of an idea to final curtain and pack out.

After you graduate

Your Bachelor of Arts (BA) in Theatre can be a great starting point for your career—not just for work in theatre, but also in film, television and radio and even unrelated fields. Because theatre is collaborative and productive, you will learn invaluable skills for getting things done well in a group. These are skills needed in most workplaces today, and, when combined with other qualifications you might find work in arts management, advertising or events management. Other options include teaching, working in the not-for-profit sectors or a non-governmental organisation.

Or you might choose to pursue your creative career by working freelance, joining a theatre company or devising your own works.
