To be accepted into this programme you will need:

  • A Bachelor of Commerce degree

  • To have previously completed three courses from FINA 301–399 (or to have been granted exemption from those prerequisites by the programme director)

  • To be accepted by the programme director or head of school as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.

Important information

  • To study Finance, you need to have a suitable background in algebra, calculus, and probability, as well as some prior exposure to econometrics.
  • If you don’t have a strong economics or finance background, you might find the Graduate Diploma in Commerce more suitable.
  • If you want to enrol in this programme but don’t meet some of the entry requirements, you should contact Wellington School of Business and Government to discuss your options. Selection for this programme is based on your academic performance in relevant subjects and an interview.
