Visa eligibility for international students

The MIS, PGDipIS, and PGCertIS are delivered and assessed entirely online. If you’re an international student, you’ll study by distance and won’t be eligible for a student visa to enter New Zealand.

To be accepted into this programme you will need:

A Bachelor’s degree
To be accepted by the programme director as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study

Important information

Entry requirements may be waived by the Associate Dean for a candidate who has not completed a New Zealand Bachelor’s degree, or an equivalent degree, and has had extensive practical, professional, or scholarly experience of an appropriate kind.

Equipment you’ll need

To access online conferencing, distance students will need to have a device running a recent operating system with a minimum of 2GB RAM and 2.3 GHz, and a microphone, headset and speakers.
