Visa eligibility for international students

The MIS, PGDipIS, and PGCertIS are delivered and assessed entirely online. If you’re an international student, you’ll study by distance and won’t be eligible for a student visa to enter New Zealand.

To be accepted into this programme you will need:

A Bachelor’s degree with at least a B average. This may be waived by the associate dean for a candidate who has had extensive practical, professional, or scholarly experience of an appropriate kind.
To be accepted by the programme director as capable of proceeding with the proposed course of study.

Important information

Prospective students without a Bachelor’s degree with at least a B average may be admitted to the Postgraduate Certificate or Postgraduate Diploma in Information Studies programmes, which can be used as a stepping stone into the full Master’s degree.

Equipment you’ll need
