Programme requirements
For the GCertSc, you’ll need to complete a coherent programme approved by the Head of School.
With approval, you may substitute up to 20 points' worth of courses from other programmes at this university.
You may obtain a GCertSc with a specialisation if your course of study includes 45 points from the 200- and 300-level requirements of the corresponding major subject (see below).

Data Science
Study Data Science to develop technical skills in computing technologies, statistics, and mathematics and work with real data sets to develop a practical understanding of the social dimensions of data. You’ll assess the ethics of data collection and use, question privacy and security issues, learn about the importance of communicating effectively with data, and gain an overall understanding of the consequences of the data revolution.
