Opportunities and challenges for Aotearoa New Zealand
This research explores the meaning of ethical leadership and its role in addressing the main ethical issues in New Zealand.
As well as exploring ethical leadership in New Zealand, this research seeks to identify the potential role for the Brian Picot Chair in Ethical Leadership and the University to contribute in this area.
During 2017, 40 key professionals from the public and private sectors and civil society were interviewed as part of the research. The outcomes of the research were first shared during Professor Lasthuizen's inaugural public lecture at Te Herenga Waka—Victoria University of Wellington on 26 June 2018.
A publication entitled 'Ethical leadership: Opportunities and challenges for Aotearoa New Zealand' has also been produced. This publication further explains the outcomes of the research.
