Find out moreWhat we're planning
We're in a period of transformation in education as the Government reviews education policies and frameworks, and there is potential for significant changes in the senior secondary school sector. The University is looking at how we can support the work of teachers as educational leaders, including by offering grants to support professional development.
In addition to our academics who are contributing valuable research and insights to the national dialogue, our Schools Partnerships and Future Students teams are working together to identify areas where we can collaborate with schools in the Wellington region. We’re starting by having conversations with schools to learn what they need and how we can work together.
Our regions
We're planning to work with secondary schools in the Wellington region, as defined by the Ministry of Education. Education Counts includes all districts within the Wellington Region:
- Carterton District
- Kapiti Coast District
- Lower Hutt City
- Masterton District
- Porirua City
- Upper Hutt City
- South Wairarapa District
- Wellington City.
