New School of Education

On the 5th May the School of Education Policy and Implementation formally merged with the School of Educational Psychology and Pedagogy forming the School of Education.

The School of Education was established in May 2014 following the merger of the School of Education Policy and Implementation and the School of Educational Psychology and Pedagogy. The School of Education and Te Kura Maori are the two schools within the Faculty of Education.

The School of Education undertakes research-led teaching in a range of areas including curriculum, education policy and its implementation, educational psychology, and pedagogy. Staff are focused on improving education across all sectors through teaching at undergraduate and postgraduate level, undertaking educational research and providing service to the wider community.
