Chinese Bridge Speech Competition Back in Person
Congratulations to all contestants 恭喜所有参赛选手 gōng xǐ suǒ yǒu cān sài xuǎn shǒu for joining in the first in person Chinese language speech competition in three years.
It was noisy, fun and entertaining at the Wellington regional schools’ competition held at Victoria University of Wellington on 27 May. Over 60 participants, teachers and whanau gathered to hear the best Chinese language learners from schools across our region, including students from Tauranga, Rotorua, Whanganui, Masterton and Wellington. The Confucius Institute’s Mandarin Language Assistants were on hand to support their students and run the event. It was a great way to restart in person competitions after three years of Zoom.
