"Well Done, Thank You & Farewell!” to our 2016 Mandarin Language Assistants
"Well Done, Thank You & Farewell!” to our 2016 Mandarin Language Assistants
This year’s forty eight MLAs were farewelled on 25 November 2016 by VUW Confucius Institute, school principals, teachers and their homestay families, at a big party at Wellington East Girls’ College Confucius Classroom.
2016’s talented MLAs performed songs and skits of their New Zealand life during the farewell party.
Mrs Susan Browne presented our beloved Deputy Director Yang Xiaoqing with flowers as a token of deep appreciation for her excellent work and achievements at Victoria University’s Confucius Institute. Xiaoqing has been at CI VUW since 2014, and is very well known to schools and communities in our region for her unfailing professionalism and warm friendships. She will return to Xiamen University and her home in Xiamen, Wellington’s sister city, in the new year.
