On-campus and digital engagement
We can help you engage with our students through presentations, information sessions or workshops on campus and online.
Presentations and information sessions
Schedule an information session to present your final year/graduate recruitment, summer vacation, internship or further study opportunities.
- On-campus: Lunchtime or evening sessions coordinated by Careers and Employment.
- Off-campus: Evening presentations organised by you.
- Drop-in sessions: Usually held in a meeting room or open foyer area.
Presentations can be held any time throughout the year except for vacation/exam periods. To ensure sufficient time to promote an upcoming event, we require a minimum of two weeks’ notice to book an event.
You are welcome to organise catering for your evening presentation. Our team can put you in touch with caterers who know our campus well. Some rooms at Victoria University of Wellington have rules about food being consumed, we can advise you at the time of booking.
To book an on-campus presentation, fill out the Employer presentation request form and we will be in touch.
Interactive workshops
Workshops are 50 minutes and can be targeted towards a particular discipline or course. Workshop topics include CV preparation; interview techniques; competency-based interviews; preparing for psychometric assessments or assessment centres.
Seminars can be industry or occupation related. For example: A career in public relations; A career in the public sector; a session on careers for science graduates. We can advise on potential topics.
Benefits to your organisation:
- Increase your organisation's profile on campus
- Strengthen links with academic staff
- Target students in a particular course of study
- Meet with students who are interested in your organisation or industry
If you are interested in presenting a workshop or seminar, contact the Employer Relations team.
Engagement via webinar
Where you would like an alternative to coming on campus, we can offer the opportunity to engage with our students via webinar.
Our Employer Relations team can host you via Zoom, or you can host via an alternative platform of your choice. Webinars are usually thirty minutes to one hour long and can be recorded. To kick things off complete our webinar request form or contact our Employer Relations team.
