BIO
Luanna H. Meyer was founding Director of the Jessie Hetherington Centre for Educational Research and is Professor Emerita of Education.Previous academic appointments include positions at Massey University (Assistant Vice-Chancellor-Academic; Pro Vice-Chancellor Education), and on the faculty at the University of Hawai'i, the University of Minnesota, and Syracuse University in the USA.
Her ongoing research and scholarship are focused on restorative discipline in schools, motivation and secondary school achievement, higher education assessment, academic governance, and culturally responsive practices in educational settings. She has published 14 books and over 250 journal articles, book chapters, and government reports and served as director of externally funded research contracts totaling $13 million USD.
