Sharesies Co-Founder Sonya Williams shared her tips for creating healthy work-life balance in the workplace.

Rownok Urmi completed her postgraduate study as a solo parent while raising twin infants and her story of the support she found from her community, including WSBG university staff and her peers, struck a chord with readers.

Fatima Ahmer shared the top things she learned in her first year of study. She is a source of wisdom and good humour – if you’re currently studying, or planning your arrival to uni, it’s a must-read.

First-year me was too engrossed in figuring out my ten-year plan that I forgot to live in the present. I forgot that part of the reason I came to uni was to expand my horizons and have some fun.

Balancing work and study remains a hot topic and we covered it off with some great tips from our students that have been there.

We asked our WSBG students, ‘Why Wellington?’ and they told us what makes studying business in the capital city worthwhile and enjoyable.

We shared a series of pieces to help you plan your study, ask your employer for support,  sort your next steps after picking your postgraduate programme, decode majors and minors, and work out if you’re ready for a career change.

It also remains important to recognise and prioritise mental health in the midst of work and study. John Randall, who teaches Statistics and Econometrics at WSBG opened up about his mental health journey and MBA student Ryan Meachen shared how he overcame his imposter syndrome to flourish on his journey.

Chase the imposter syndrome. It's uncomfortable. It's challenging. But it means that you might just be in the right place for your own development and growth.

We looked at studying entrepreneurship as a gateway to opportunities with recent graduates of our new Business Accelerator course, Robbie and Kaea.

Digitella Marketing agency co-founders Daniel Raats and Bob Anderson provided another example of entrepreneurial success as they walked us through the creation and ongoing success of their venture and shared their best tips for getting started as an entrepreneur, including, learning to get out of your own way.

You don't need to have all the answers, you just need the willingness to go figure it out. Now is the time to be bold and take a chance. Either way, you’ll be richer from the experience.
