Long-term support

We offer paid speech-language therapy for children who are autistic, or showing signs of autism.

We offer paid therapy services for whānau who have already accessed or choose not to access, our free community support.

Speech-language therapy

Our speech-language therapists work with a variety of speech, language, and communication needs. This includes support with spoken language and other forms of communication, including augmentative and alternative communication.

Our speech-language therapists work with families/whānau to select meaningful communication goals. They take a neurodiversity-affirming approach by respecting and building upon children’s natural and preferred ways of communicating.

All autistic children and children showing signs of autism up to the age of 7 are eligible for this service. Children aged 8-12 years will be considered on a case-by-case basis.

Costs

We ask parents or whānau to cover the full cost of these sessions. These fees cover our therapist’s wages, room hire or travel time, administration tasks, materials used, holiday pay, sick leave, overheads, and GST.

Our costs for a 30-minute weekly speech-language therapy consultation for 2024 are $98.00.

The total cost of sessions will depend on the combination of services you want for your child.

We encourage you to access one term of our free community support before committing to paid services.
