This diploma would suit graduates who want to transition from a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) or Bachelor of Building Science (BBSc) in one specialisation to pursue postgraduate study in a new specialisation. Find out more about the Graduate Diploma in Designed Environments.
The 60-point Postgraduate Certificate in Architectural Science takes one trimester to complete when studied full time. You can complete it on its own as an introduction to postgraduate architectural science, or continue your study with the Postgraduate Diploma in Architectural Science.
The 120-point Postgraduate Diploma in Architectural Science takes two trimesters to complete when studied full time. You can complete it on its own as a professional postgraduate qualification, or continue your study with the Master of Architectural Science or Master of Architectural Science (Research).
Become an expert in the science of the built environment and increase your understanding of the connections between architecture, engineering, testing and building research. The Master of Architectural Science is professionally recognised by the New Zealand Institute of Building (NZIOB).
In the Master of Architectural Science (Research) you’ll research and write a thesis within the broad field of architectural science, under the expert supervision of our academic staff. This 120-point qualification takes one year (three trimesters) to complete when studied full time. You must complete the Postgraduate Diploma in Architectural Science before you can enrol in the MArchSc(Res).
The Master of Architecture is a theory-based qualification involving research and a thesis for students who want to pursue further studies in the field of Architecture or deepen the knowledge gained at undergraduate level.
This professional qualification is a combination of taught courses and an Architecture Research Thesis. Graduates with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) in Architecture and a Master of Architecture (Professional) will have met the academic requirements for professional architectural registration.
The Master of Construction Law is a collaborative postgraduate degree led by experts from the University’s Faculty of Architecture and Design Innovation and Faculty of Law. Studying across two fields, you’ll boost your competence in construction law while expanding your knowledge of architecture and design.
Our Master’s degree in Interior Architecture is a professionally recognised degree designed for students who wish to pursue a qualification at the highest level. Study Interior Architecture in detail and examine the relationships between materials, people, and space.
Our Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture is distinctive in New Zealand for its cross-disciplinary capability. Graduates with a Bachelor of Architectural Studies (BAS) in Landscape Architecture and a Master of Landscape Architecture will have met the academic requirements for professional registration in landscape architecture.
