Blue carbon potential of coastal wetlands in New Zealand: quantifying the past, present and future carbon sequestration in salt marshes.

Supervisors

    Project objectives and description

    My PhD research is focused on:

    1) investigating the biosequestration potential of coastal wetlands in New Zealand;

    2) quantifying the impacts of sea level rise on these ecosystems; and

    3) evaluating the potential of coastal wetland restoration projects in carbon/resilience credits voluntary and/or regulatory schemes.
