About Mark Daldorf

Mark joined Te Herenga Waka in March 2022 with over 30 years of management experience in leading Human Resources professionals through periods of change and transformation.

Mark was recently the Head of People and Capability at Airways New Zealand where he has, over the past 18 months, repositioned and upskilled the People function within Airways to meet the challenges presented by COVID-19 and prepare for a more digital world.

Prior to that, he led a human resources team of 135 through a successful $1.6 billion, five-year transformation at Inland Revenue and a team of 40 at Foodstuffs Wellington through a merger into Foodstuffs North Island. He has also held senior human resources positions with several international institutions including Standard Chartered Bank and Emirates Airline; and has worked internationally in Australia, Dubai, Singapore, and South Korea.

Over the past 20 years, Mark has had a variety of experience within the tertiary education sector as a member of advisory boards for business and management schools around the world. He has been a peer review team member for EQUIS accreditations for 25 business schools globally, including two in New Zealand. Mark has been a member of the Advisory Board at Bradford School of Management and the Global Business Consortium at the London Business School. He was also a founding member of the Advisory Board for the British University in Dubai.

Mark’s areas of specialty are collective bargaining, talent development, change management, organisation design, learning, leadership development and talent acquisition.

Mark has a master’s degree in business administration from the University of Western Sydney.
