Description | Dr Marc Lanteigne will talk on 'China's engagement in the South Pacific' Date & Time: Tuesday 10 May 2011 at 5.45pm Venue: Lecture Theatre 2, Rutherford House, Pipitea Campus, Victoria University of Wellington Bio-Note: Dr Marc Lanteigne is a Senior Lecturer in Political Science and International Relations, Victoria University of Wellington. He is also the Research Director at the New Zealand Contemporary China Research Centre. Originally from Montréal, Marc was an Assistant Professor at Dalhousie University in Halifax and a Lecturer at the School of International Relations, University of St. Andrews, Scotland before coming to Victoria University in 2010. Marc's research focuses on the rise of China as a strategic and economic power as well as its evolving interactions and engagements with international organisations and regimes. His regional interests lie in Northeast Asia and Central Asia and interactions between the two. |
