Alexander C. Tan is Professor of Political Science at the University of Canterbury, representing the University of Canterbury to the China Centre.
Role at the New Zealand Contemporary China Research Centre
Associate Directors are representatives of their home university to the Centre. They assist the Director in the management of the Centre, and facilitate input of resources and programmes of their home university to the Centre. Associate Directors are also representatives of the Centre at their home university. They coordinate the Centre’s programmes and activities at their home university and organizing joint China programmes and activities between the Centre and their home university.
